CREATIVE + STRATEGIC

Acknowledgement: It is with deep gratitude, respect and a commitment to reconciliation, that I live and carry out my work on Coast Salish Territory, on the ancestral lands of the Lkwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ speaking nations. Lkwungen means “Place to smoke herring” and Lkwungen’athun refers to the language of this land. Lkwungen traditionally and presently unites the Esquimalt and Songhees peoples as one family. I raise my hands to the Lkwungen people.

Points North Creative Inc. is a small agency primarily focused on arts development and artistic cultural presentation in Canada and beyond. Directed by Lynn Feasey, Points North is dedicated to helping develop the arts and culture sector;  creatively and strategically.

We use our experience and knowledge to develop creative strategies that work for artists, government, and arts, culture and tourism organizations. On the flip side, we pour that knowledge into our creative projects for a holistic offering that informs and elevates the artists, and arts sector that we serve.

I don’t put strategy in a business suit - I allow it to dress for the occasion.

Our team is small. We expand and contract as necessary, utilizing a roster of incredible artists, and a reliable posse of like-minded entrepreneurial, creative and business professionals to offer excellent value for your project.

Points North has produced a number of high profile cultural events and exhibitions, including Canada's Northern House, for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, NWT Days for Winterlude (2013-2015), Great Northern Arts Festival, and the Adäka Cultural Festival (2017/2018). Points North has worked with the Governments of the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Alberta (Indigenous Relations) as well as the Federal Government of Canada (Dept of Indigenous and Northern Affairs), on a variety of strategies and cultural presentation projects.

A notable recent project was the development and launch of an arts brand for Yukon First Nations artists: The YFN Arts Brand Program was officially launched in May 2020 and can now be found to accompany artworks made by Indigenous artists from across the Yukon Territory.

Lynn Feasey serves as the inaugural Co-Chair of the Aurora Research Institute’s exciting project: INNOVATE: Centre for arts, crafts and technology, in Inuvik, Northwest Territories.

Lynn is also an active juried member of the Arts Consultants of Canada (ACCA) https://artsconsultants.ca
